ADMISSIONS
So, you’re ready to apply to ICADS! That’s great. Here are some things to get you started.
Find your program, and fill out the application form online -- it gets sent right to us! Or, you can print it out and send us your signed application. Hard copies and deposit checks can be mailed to the following address:
*It is not necessary to send checks or documents to this address via registered/certified mail. ICADS has a reputable and safe courier service that brings our mail directly from Miami to our offices in Costa Rica. You can rest assured that your mail will arrive to us safely and in a timely manner.
Here are the admissions requirements for ICADS programs:
Social Justice and Development Internship Program
REQUIREMENTS:
Application, 2 letters of recommendation, and official transcript. At least one year of college Spanish or three years of high school Spanish are highly recommended to participate.
Deadlines for all application materiales are the following:
Spring Terms:
- Early Deadline: October 15th.

Final Deadline: November 15th.
Fall Terms:
- Early Deadline: March 15th.

Final Deadline: August 1st.
Early applicants will have an advantage over those who wait until the final deadline, since the applications are considered on a space-available basis. Decisions will be announced within two weeks of each deadline.
Field Program: Environment and Sustainable Development
REQUIREMENTS:

Summer Internship and Cultural Training Program
REQUIREMENTS:
Application, letter of recommendation. At least one year of college-level Spanish is recommended.
Deadlines for completed applications are as follows:
- Early Deadline: March 15th.
- Final Deadline: May 15th.

Spanish Language Intensive Course
REQUIREMENTS:
Application, deposit.
Deadlines: All materials must be received at least 2 weeks before each month’s starting date.
The deposit may be sent in the form of a cashier's check or a personal check in U.S. dollars payable to "ICADS." The deposit must be mailed to the ICADS address in Miami, Florida.
