At ICADS, we believe in the power of experience followed by critical reflection. It is something that those of us on staff are challenged by and enjoy as well. Students that participate in our programs are often opened up to new perspectives from which to consider the world around them and their place in it. For ICADS to continue to best facilitate impactful experiences for participants, we need to continually refine our own approach and invest in future teachers.
With this in mind, we are opening up a post-grad internship position for ICADS alumni. If you are passionate about pushing your Spanish to the next level, working with upcoming students in study abroad, getting a glimpse of the institutional and professional reality in this context, or furthering your knowledge of any ICADS areas of interest (sociological or ecological research, critical pedagogy, Spanish, etc.), consider applying for this exciting opportunity!
What we expect:
- Flexibility and resilience in an ever fluctuating reality

- A real desire to learn alongside all those around you
- 6 month commitment Jan-June 2026 or 2027, with potential to extend
What you can expect:
- Expenses paid (airfare, program costs, room and board)
- Living with a host family
- About 32 work hours a week plus work weekends with relevant programs
- Plenty of trips around the country with students
- Conversations/planning prior to arrival, ensuring the internship works for you and your plans
What would I do?
- Jump right into assisting with January custom programs, and then continue to be involved in programmatic and student life activities through semester, Field Program, March programs and summer.
- Translation in the field and classroom
- Office work, administrative and organizational assistance to the ICADS staff
